Trade Stand Winners, Burghley 2018 – Hannibal Brown

Early in September, we took Hannibal off to exhibit at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials up in Stamford.  Burghley is THE most enjoyable event in our wine calendar and this, our fourth year at the event, was no exception.  Indeed, it turned out to be an incredible piece of success for us, with Hannibal Brown being awarded Winners in the Trade Stand Awards Competition.  Just this week, we proudly received our engraved winner’s plate.  It’s still safely wrapped in bubble-wrap until we bang a hole in the wall and hang it up.

So Burghley is over for another year, but Horse Of The Year Show at Olympia is looming large (17th to 23rd December).  Buy your tickets as soon as poss – this is a very, very busy show.  You’ll find Hannibal’s wines in the thick of the exhibitors, as always.

Thursday 16th October 2014

Wine specialists, Hannibal Brown Wines, have unveiled their unique personalised wine label design service.

Pamela Gregory, Founder of Hannibal Brown, said, “we’ve been thinking for some time about how to adapt our existing range of wines with a difference – we want to help make our customers’ special occasions and one-off events, such as big birthdays, anniversaries and work or club celebrations, even more memorable and impactful”.

The Hannibal Brown response has been to create a bespoke labelling service, whereby customers can now submit their choice of photography, which the Hannibal team then convert in different ways – either into a classic pencil drawing or into a black & white photograph (or colour original), as the customer prefers.  Hannibal Brown then apply the personalised label to the customer’s favourite wines from the Hannibal portfolio, anything from single bottles to cases of wines for larger events.

Gregory adds, “We’ve most recently created bespoke cases of our Argentina Malbec and Chablis to mark the 125th anniversary of the world’s oldest women’s hockey club, Wimbledon, featuring a stunning pencil drawing of the club house and an original photo of the Victorian players”.   Jude King, Hannibal’s Marketing & Events Manager said, “The club has been delighted with the results of their exclusive mementoes, both in terms of the wine itself and the lasting memory that the labelled bottles will provide.  We felt it was a great way to commemorate such a special anniversary”.

The Hannibal Brown range of wines is substantial, all having been carefully sourced from independent artisan producers, and many of which are organically-produced.  In the two years since their launch, this highly entrepreneurial online wine retailer based in Epsom, Surrey has quickly earned a reputation for its expertise, outstanding customer service and imaginative approach.  Customers appreciate Hannibal Brown’s passion for representing artisan winemakers at affordable prices.

Pamela Gregory said, “These are massively exciting times for us as well as for our customers.  Our personalised labels are stunning!  They are professionally executed and guaranteed to impress at every level.  We love the fact that we are retaining the provenance of the wine on our labels, yet giving the customer something sophisticated, unique and highly personalised.”

Hannibal Brown can turn orders around in as little as 3 days, depending on size of order.

Wimbledon Guardian - Wim Pk Festival 2014

Wimbledon Park Food Festival

We make the headlines of the Wimbledon Guardian!

PRESS RELEASE  –  26th August 2014

Wine specialists, Hannibal Brown Wines, announce their latest portfolio tasting event.

Taking place on Wednesday 10th September, the event is entitled “Ethical, Natural & Organic” and will be a presentation of 25 wines from the Hannibal Brown portfolio of world wines.

The event takes place at the newly built Wimbledon Park Hall, a beautiful new venue constructed and run on behalf of the Wimbledon Park Residents Association.

This ticketed event is the fourth in Hannibal Brown’s short life.  Having only launched in November 2012, this entrepreneurial online wine retailer based in Epsom, Surrey is fast becoming recognised for its acute passion for supplying ethically produced wines and outstanding service to its customers.

The event promises to be very engaging.   Guests are invited to taste all 25 wines at their own pace and will be offered a host of fine artisan cheeses to compliment their tipples.   The cheeses, from a local artisan producer, will be available to purchase at the event.

During the evening, Pamela Gregory, Director & Founder of Hannibal Brown, will be offering mini masterclasses throughout the evening.  Says Gregory, “The team prides itself with its ability to continually put on great events.  We want our guests to enjoy their experience at every level and walk away with a wonderful memory of Hannibal Brown Wines.”

Right now, the team is busy putting together some historical footage that they plan to project across the walls at the event.   Jude King,  Marketing & Events Manager, says “we are hoping to pull together some really fun old and comical footage for our guests to enjoy.  We may take our wines seriously, but we like to have some fun too!”
