It’s great to have wines with good maturity and this 2015 vintage offers layer upon layer of developed character. Named after the ‘family’ that owns Finca Agostino, four red grape varietals represent the four brothers of the family. Not only do you get a good ‘sock’ of the ever-popular rounded Malbec, but the Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah (or Shiraz) give a welcome bite of spicy pepper, toasted almonds and vanilla.
Aged in young, French oak barrels, the wine has deliciously soft tannins, a hint of cassis and bramble fruit. Decanting is advisable for this wine.
