We’ve long stocked the red and now the white from Gonzalo Gonzalo, the ‘enfant terrible’ of the Rioja region. Bio-dynamically produced in the Rioja region, this wine has some tropical white varieties such as Muscat and Sauvignon Blanc, blended in with Riesling and the main Viura grape. It’s a wine with great character and great flavour. The greedy pig on the label is an ode to the bank manager who refused the winemaker a loan in bygone years – the back label on its own is well worth a read!
Clean and natural, dry with an attractive fruitiness. Great value and a great story to boot.
