Ripanco is a traditional method of winemaking dating back to Roman times. Grapes are hand-harvested, then the stems are discarded by hand (Ripanco) to ensure any harsh tannins from the stems and seeds do not interfere with the wine. The result is a deliciously pure wine with attractive softness.
What we love about this wine is its overall fresh feel. It is beautifully ripe and smooth, but the freshness provides a welcome dimension that gives it its uniqueness.
Ageing potential – perfect now, but will continue for the next 5 years. Ripanco can be served slightly chilled if you prefer.
