For Chateuneuf du Pape fans, this is the wine for you. The Brunier* family produce this wine within a stone’s throw of the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. The grapes are all hand-packed and ‘triaged’ before going to press.  Once fermentation is complete, the wine continues to age in massive 60hl oak barrels before a light filtration and then bottled.  Le Pigeoulet displays all the merits of true Chateuneuf du Pape, but because the vines are outside the limit, the price is considerably more affordable. Mellow, with a warm, powerful structure, yet with an elegance that makes it really accessible.
