Will Davenport started producing wine in east Sussex 20 years ago, receiving worthy plaudits ever since.
Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Meunier (24%) and Pinot Noir (26%) grapes are used to produce this classic Champagne style sparkling wine. Davenport was the third vineyard to gain organic status in this country. The wine spent nearly five years on its lees giving it a biscuity richness. The winemaking at this property is talented and pure – and the wines are downright delicious!
This 2014 vintage of this wine won The Drinks Business Organic Masters Gold medal for 2020.
