Bergerac, France
As you would expect with a name like this, the peachy aromas jump out at you with honey and acacia skipping along behind. Unctuous and full-textured on the palate with notes of fruit pastilles and apricots. What is so delicious about this dessert wine is its freshness – plenty of ripe, natural sweetness rather than overtly cloying, which makes it a very pleasing complement to blue cheese.
