The Architect has an aroma that is bright with hints of honey and nuances of vanilla and stone fruit. The emphasis is on its buttery flavours rather than oak, drawing character from the time it spends on its lees and six months of barrel maturation. It has a subtle yet generous character that is crying out to be savoured.
Our eyes simply light up when we taste the unique brilliance of Philip Shaw’s wines. His Architect Chardonnay regularly battles it out with Burgundies valued at several times its price. Can be decanted to enhance the enjoyment.
