Domaine Pierre Frick went organic in 1970 and one of the pioneers of the bio-dynamic movement, switching to full bio in 1980. It is, by and large, one of the most influential domaines of the movement with respect for their natural attitude across the wine industry.
Upon opening the 2002 Riesling, expect to see a beautifully developed colour – delightful orange hues – to be expected at nearly 20 years old. On the palate, the flavours are quite sensational – a real surprise when we tasted it – honeyed warmth, rounded, still fresh and a simply delicious experience. The vineyards are very lightly tilled, promoting vine health and helping with pest control management. A vineyard so naturally grown needs nurture and perfect growing conditions to help it along its way.
