Simon Hackett doesn’t mess about with the quality of his wines. He sources only the best fruit with which he makes sublime wines. His ‘old vines’ are ridiculously old, enhancing the structure and elegance of the wine. Curiously, the colour suggests a lot of age and development, but that’s just the colour of the Grenache grape.
Fruit-dominates with a sun drenched purity that fills the corners of your mouth. Whiffs of plump, sweet berries make this bright and up-beat. Such a flavoursome wine from such a warm climate and only 12.5% – now that is clever winemaking!
