Oh my goodness me, Ernst Loosen and his winemaking team are on a role with this latest 2019 vintage.  The wine is packed with character and personality - lively, fresh, simply delicious delicate berry flavour that does a jive on your tastebuds!   This is one of our 'wines-of-the-moment'.  Don't hold back.

Equally good served at either room temperature or slightly chilled during warmer months.

Lussac St Emilion, France

There is a nice softness about this wine, very approachable.  This is probably due to the slightly higher Merlot content (it being from the 'right bank').  Elegant and sophisticated without being too complex.  A really friendly, enjoyable Bordeaux.

Awarded Chilean Winery of the Year by the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2012 and 2013, this producer never misses a beat.
When it comes to Casas del Bosque, it's all about the rich, peppery, deep black fruit character. Medium to full-bodied, the fruit character and oak barrel ageing combine beautifully to produce a wine with soft, integrated tannins and a long, velvety finish. Deep flavours are reminiscent of black cherry, pepper and menthol and have to be savoured to be believed. This Carmenere is a real head turner.  Casas del Bosque's philosophy is quality not quantity - the best employees, who love their jobs, the purest fruit and the healthiest vines.  A winning combo.  This latest 2019 vintage is every bit as good as the preceding vintages.  All it requires is a little aeration to really release those aromas and flavours.

Sancerre, Loire Valley

Monsieur Bourgeois excels in 'Loire' style Sauvignon Blanc - crisp, fresh with a good acidity, and plenty of juicy texture in the flavours.  For those who love classic Sauvignon Blanc, this is the wine for you.  This wine is produced in the Sancerre region but does not have Sancerre DOC, thus keeping the price a lot more reasonable than if it did!

Crisp, floral with an after taste of toasted almond, wild herbs and ripe fruits. Vermentino is most recently known to have originated in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, but it is perfectly suited to the Sardinian growing conditions.
Giampaolo Parpinello presides over this super winery with help from his son, Paolo. Together, they manage the property that has been part of the family across three generations.  The family have one objective - to produce wines characteristic of the region by marrying traditional methods with the latest technology. Do not ignore this gem - it dances on your tongue and makes for a delicious and welcome alternative grape variety.

Orange, New South Wales

The Architect has an aroma that is bright with hints of honey and nuances of vanilla and stone fruit.  The emphasis is on its buttery flavours rather than oak, drawing character from the time it spends on its lees and six months of barrel maturation.  It has a subtle yet generous character that is crying out to be savoured.

Our eyes simply light up when we taste the unique brilliance of Philip Shaw’s wines.  His Architect Chardonnay regularly battles it out with Burgundies valued at several times its price.  Can be decanted to enhance the enjoyment.
