Tokara Director’s Reserve Red 2018

Tokara Estate uses its most premium grapes from the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountains to produce this wine. All hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure only the healthiest grapes are used from each bunch.
A total of 22 months’ oak barrel ageing before bottling and eventual release onto the market. Thumpingly impressive, deep garnet colour and intense red fruit character. The 2011 vintage was awarded Gold at the International Wine & Spirit Competition and the 2012 was equally well received. We are now pleased to offer the latest 2018 – an astounding vintage and one to decant young or put down for a few years.
