The Vidiano grape is indigenous to Greece and is grown in the Dafnes sub-region of Heraklion. The area is pretty mountainous and the vines are at a cool 500m above sea level. The vines are incredibly low yielding and enjoy cool breezes from the Aegean Sea – they really do thrive in this region.
Delicate aromatic characters of ripe pear, stone fruits and melon, lead to a refreshing acidity which balances the richness on the palate. Impressively aromatic finish, this is the quintessential introduction to the Vidiano grape.
