Serrano Ham and Manchego
Spain meets Spain – fruity Tempranillo is complimented perfectly by this tasty bite. Try a little fig and rocket and see how the wine changes.
Recipe
- INGREDIENTS – Beef Stew
- 1 pack Serrano ham (if you can get freshly cut from a deli then great!)
- 100g aged Manchego cheese
- 1 ripe fig
- A few rocket leaves
- A sprinkle of smoked paprika
- Parsley leaves to garnish
- Very simply cut slices of the ham and the cheese
- Wrap the cheese with the ham and add a parsley leaf
- Sprinkle paprika over to garnish
- Have your fig sliced on the side with your rocket
Taste the canapé first with the wine, then see what happens when you add a little fig and then rocket. It’s an interesting experiment in how the food changes the wine!
